Brotherwood have always believed in going the extra mile to ensure that our range of Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles are perfectly suited to the needs of our clients. We were delighted to be able to showcase this expertise when approached by Mr Jeans of Gloucestershire, who sought a couple of extra adaptations to our ‘Klastar’ Mercedes-Benz V-Class conversion to make every journey inclusive and comfortable for the whole family.

In addition to the Brotherwood ‘Klastar’ conversion – with a long, flat, level lowered floor that enables the wheelchair user to travel centrally between two second-row passenger seats, and electric powered, remote-controlled rear access ramp; Mr Jeans also wanted to be able to transfer into the front passenger seat.

We were happy to supply and install a Turny Seat from our friends at Braunability, which swivels and extends out of the vehicle electronically via remote control, giving Mr Jeans the freedom to switch to the front passenger seat more easily. Trimming the transfer seat in Silk Beige Nappa Leather, matched to the original Mercedes-Benz upholstery, ensured that the replacement seat did not look out-of-place in the stunning surroundings of the V-Class interior.

Further bespoke adaptations were also made to the floor to accommodate another important passenger – Henry, the family dog, who can now travel in equal comfort on a dedicated flat floor space.
