1. FLAT, LEVEL LOWERED FLOOR

The low, flat, completely level floor reduces the feeling of body-roll and promotes ideal posture for the wheelchair user when travelling. The inclusive, central wheelchair location, as close to the front seats as possible, combined with the smooth, car-like ride ensures every journey is one to look forward to.

2. GREAT VISIBILITY

By reducing the eye level of the wheelchair user, a better view is available out of the windows, providing a better travelling experience and lessening the likelihood of travel sickness. The optional Panorama roof adds to the feeling of spaciousness.

The new Ford Tourneo Connect WAV is an extremely compact and car-like vehicle, with huge capabilities – thanks to unique Brotherwood engineering, which draws on our unique expertise to create an unparalleled interior space for the wheelchair user.

Clever design enables the fitment of a completely flat, level, lowered floor, with maximum interior space with a huge 56 inches of internal headroom – easily accessed by the short, shallow-angle rear access ramp.

1. STORQ SYSTEM

The Brotherwood C’Arete Ford Tourneo WAV is also fitted with our patented STORQ system. STORQ applies tension to the wheelchair restraints – ideal for those who might struggle with traditional buckles. By ensuring the restraints are properly tensioned, the wheelchair user enjoys a safer, more stable ride. Travelling centrally is also considered to be safer for the wheelchair user, when compared to travelling behind the rear seats.

1. COUNTERBALANCED REAR RAMP

The short, shallow-angle access ramp is coated in a high-traction surface, making it safe and efficient for tyres and feet alike to enter easily through the large rear door. The Hook-i PAWRS combined winch and restraint system makes loading even easier – providing power assistance at the push of a button, for effortless access even for large or heavy wheelchairs.

Low, Flat, Level Floor

A steeply sloping floor, sitting too high or far back in the vehicle can not only be isolating, but also an uncomfortable ride for the wheelchair user. The level, lowered floor of a Brotherwood^® conversion offers a stable, comfortable, natural seating position, for better visibility, inclusion and ride quality.

Spacious Headroom

Our lowered floor allows a huge headroom inside the Tourneo Connect. As a result the wheelchair user enjoys excellent visibility out of the large windows and optional Panorama Roof.

Sculptured Seat Profile

Our unique seats enable wheelchair users to travel inclusively next to the rear passengers, making conversation easy and closer to the driver for a smoother ride. The seats are trim matched to the original seats for a flawless factory finish.

STORQ System

STORQ automatically applies extra tension to the wheelchair restraints – ideal for those with limited grip or dexterity who might struggle with traditional buckles. By ensuring the rear restraints are properly tensioned, the wheelchair user enjoys a safer, more stable ride.

Hook-i PAWRS

The Hook-i PAWRS is a remote-controlled, powered front restraint system, to assist loading a wheelchair and passenger. No pushing required, simply attach the restraints and press the remote control for effortless loading of combined wheelchair and passenger weights up to 250kg.

Counterbalanced Ramp

Our custom-built, lightweight ramp is counterbalanced, so that it can be lifted with minimal effort by foot or hand. The angle is shallow to enable easy loading , while long life fittings ensure minimal maintenance and reliable performance for years to come. Finished with a high-traction surface that makes access easy for manual or power chairs.

Aesthetic New Design

The All-New Tourneo Connect features a complete redesign. Including a sporty new exterior, with dynamically sculpted lines, bold front grilles, a choice of head-turning body colours, plus a stylish and spacious interior.

Digital Interface

The Tourneo Connect 10.25” Digital Instrument Cluster lets you customise the display with a range of vehicle data. While the 8.25” or 10” colour touchscreen seamlessly connects with your smartphone.

X Pack

Additional X Pack features include new LED headlights with automatic high beam, rear-view camera, and Dual-zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (DEATC).

Nationwide Customer Support

For complete peace of mind we offer an annual Safety Assurance Programme. A qualified service engineer will visit at a time and place that suits you, to perform a full 15-point conversion safety inspection, including restraints, ramp, safety belts and more to ensure safe operation of your conversion.

For Motability clients an annual inspection is included at no cost for the first 5 Years of the Motability agreement. For all other clients the first annual visit is free of charge. You can then choose to book one or more subsequent annual visits.
